I'm back. I might be the first one, I'm not sure. I've read back in the journals, so I think I know what was going on. Or is going on. It seemed a bit like the double clone? I saw was [taptap] brainwashed. He was nothing like the last one.

[There is a long pause.]

Did anyone [Another pause, not as long this time; he does not want to make a plea for attention, but he feels he has to know] notice I was missing?

Last time these doubles came, someone died. That's not something I'd call a joke.

I am not certain that we are not all of us already dead. Our dreams, they are our lives flashing before us, no?

But, you see, my dear boy, these clones are gone. No one, I believe, died. Now that the threat has passed, the joking begins.
